Jon Iwata Biography

Jon Iwata is the president of IBM's marketing, communications, and corporate citizenship division. This worldwide team is in charge of marketing IBM's product and service portfolio, as well as digital commerce, market intelligence, communication systems, and stewardship of the IBM brand, which is widely regarded as one of the most valuable in the planet. Jon and his team were responsible for the creation of IBM's "Smarter Planet" strategic plan, as well as the communication and marketing of Watson, the cognitive computing system that crushed the two best human competitors in the match of Jeopardy! He graduated from San Jose State University's School of Journalism as well as Mass Communications with a Bachelor's degree. Jon is a co-invented an advanced semiconductor lithography technology patent in the United States in jan 2015.
