Jewel Lafontant MANkarious and Judge John Rogers, Sr. had John Rogers Jr. in Chicago in 1958. He showed exceptional ability in both schools and on the basketball court from an early age. He moved on to Princeton University, where he excelled in both subjects and received his bachelor's degree in 1980. Rogers established Ariel Capital Management Corporation, an investment management firm, in 1983. Ariel now oversees over $7.5 billion in assets. Rogers is frequently featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Barron's, and The New York Times because of this. Based on his company's exceptional performance, Time named him one of the Fifty For the Future in 1994. Rogers is active in the community, serving on the boards of Aon Corporation, Bank One Corporation, Burrell Communications Group, GATX Corporation, and Exelon Corporation, among others. He is also involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the John S. and James L.
