Joel Spolsky is a product designer and essayist. He is the creator of Joel on Software a blog on programming advancement. Spolsky experienced childhood in Albuquerque New Mexico and lived there until he was 15. He at that point moved with his family to Jerusalem Israel where he went to secondary school and did his military help as a paratrooper. He was one of the authors of Kibbutz Hanaton in Upper Galilee. In 1987 he came back to the United States to go to school. He learned at the University of Pennsylvania for a year before moving to Yale University where he was an individual from Pierson College and graduated in 1991 with a BS summa cum laude in Computer Science. Spolsky was a Program Manager at Microsoft from 1991 to 1994 on the Microsoft Excel group where he planned Excel Basic and drove Microsoft's Visual Basic for Applications methodology. He moved to New York City in 1995 where he worked for Viacom and Juno Online Services. In 2000 he established Fog Creek Software and made the Joel on Software blog. Joel on Software was one of the primary websites set up by an entrepreneur. In 2005, Spolsky co-delivered and showed up in Aardvark'd: 12 Weeks with Geeks a narrative reporting Fog Creek's advancement of Project Aardvark a far off help apparatus."
