The album's title tune is perhaps Cocker's greatest; it was a big highlight of the Woodstock Festival in 1969, and it outperforms the Beatles' original rendition. Following a tour of the United States, he recorded Joe Cocker!, which was produced by Leon Russell and Denny Cordell.
