Internationally known McNichol was one of the highest paid TV & film stars a teen heartthrob and one of the most popular actors in the entertainment industry from the late 1970's through the early 90's. As a musician he has had hit records. McNichol's career in show business started when he appeared in a commercial for Band-Aids at the age of seven years old. He appeared on various television shows including Gunsmoke Little House on the Prairie Shazam! and S.W.A.T. throughout the 1970's. In 1976 McNichol landed the role of Tim Blake in the television movie Stranded. McNichol released an album Kristy & Jimmy McNichol with his sister in 1978. Tracks included Girl You Really Got Me Going Rock 'N' Roll Is Here to Stay He's So Fine and Boogie Oogie Oogie. The following year he starred in Champions: A Love Story a television movie and appeared in the television series California Fever. Throughout the 1980's McNichol continued to act in television shows like The Love Boat and General Hospital and television movies such as Blinded by the Light with sister Kristy and Safe Harbor. He also appeared in movies such as Smokey Bites the Dust Escape from El Diablo and Night Warning.
