James R. Ball is the co-founder and president of the Goals Institute, Inc., a company dedicated to assisting businesses, organizations, and individual people in reaching their full potential through achieving goals. Mr. Ball has delivered executive development programs and keynote speeches for companies such as BellSouth Business Systems, Inc., AT&T, Freddie Mac, Bell Atlantic, Coopers & Lybrand, L.L.P, Landstar System, Dominos Pizza Distribution, Incorporated, Mobil Oil Corporation, Texaco Refining Marketing Inc., Ryland Homes, and The Franking Life Insurance Company. The American Bankers Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Women International, the Institute of Real Estate Management, the National Association of Insurance Women, Printing Industries of America, Inc., the Society of Human Resource Management, and the Business Products Industry Association are among the organization's clients. Mr. Ball co-founded and managed Venture America, a seed-stage venture capital firm. Over twelve years, he assisted in the launch and growth of over twenty businesses through Venture America. Automation Partners International, Adaptive Technologies, Inc., Adaptive Technologies, Binary Arts Corporation, SSE Telecom, Digene Corporation, Voice Processing Corporation, Universal Power Systems, Inc., and The Discovery Channel are among these. Mr. Ball worked for Arthur Andersen for 16 years, his last stance being a partner in charge of Andersen's office in Northern Virginia, which specialized in high-tech and fast-growing companies. All through his career, he worked with over a hundred clients, including Mars, Marriott Corporation, Flow General Laboratories, Incorporated, Sage Software, Inc., Orbital Sciences Incorporated, ONCOR Incorporated, and 14 other companies in Hong Kong. Mr. Ball oversaw Andersen's Professional Education Division in the Washington, District of Columbia metropolitan area, and he was instrumental in the development of many of the firm's practice methods. Mr. Ball taught the course he generated, Developing an entrepreneurial mindset, as an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University. He co-founded and served as the first president of the George Mason University Entrepreneurial Institute, Inc., an organization that promotes entrepreneurialism and business-university relations. Mr. Ball has given numerous broadcasts via the National Technological University satellite network. He has also taught at the Michigan Small Business Development Center at Wayne State University in Fullerton. Mr. Ball is the wrote several books, including Soar...
