Jill Buck is an entrepreneur, a radio broadcaster, and a sustainability specialist. Buck created the Go Green Initiative in 2002, a 501(c)(3) organization that is the global leader in environmental education, with operations in all 50 states of the United States, 73 countries, and five continents. The National School Boards Association (NSBA), the National Recycling Coalition, nine state PTAs, the California Integrated Waste Management Board, the California Resource Recovery Association, and others have all approved the initiative. Jill is a member of the Green Schools National Network's advisory board. She also hosts Go Green Radio, a weekly show on the largest online discussion radio station in the United States. Buck launched Buck Consulting in 2004 to assist businesses in achieving profitability via long-term sustainability. She teaches CEOs how to quantify ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts in order to fulfill third-party reporting requirements such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and the NASDAQ Global Sustainability Index. She was appointed to the International Appraisal Committee of the Daonong Center for Enterprise, a think tank established by the China Entrepreneur Club, in August 2007. She is a Strategic Advisor for the Joint US-China Clean Energy Cooperation (JUCCCE). Buck graduated from the University of Illinois and was commissioned as a Naval Officer following graduation. She worked as the Legal, Physical Security, Admin, and Command Inspection Officer, as well as a Damage Control Instructor, at the Fleet Training Center in San Diego. She graduated with honors from the Military Justice School and the Navy's small arms weapons training, which was taught by former Navy Seals.
