Jesper Brodin is a Swedish business leader and the CEO of the Ingka Group, the largest franchisee of IKEA, operating 390 stores in 31 markets. Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, he graduated with a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in 1994. 

Brodin has worked at IKEA for over 25 years, starting as a purchase manager in Pakistan and progressing through various leadership roles, including CEO of Ingka Group since September 2017. His extensive experience encompasses managing regional purchases in Southeast Asia and China and overseeing product range and supply chain development.

Known for values-based leadership and emphasizing collaboration, Brodin has driven Ingka Group’s focus on sustainability. The company has committed to a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2050. Under his leadership, the company’s carbon footprint has dropped 24% since 2016 while revenue has grown nearly 31%. 

He chairs the World Economic Forum’s Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders, is a member of The B Team, and serves on the World Resources Institute’s global board. In 2024, Time named him one of the 100 Most Influential People for his sustainability efforts. Brodin lives in Helsingborg, Sweden, with his wife and three children.
