He earned silver at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, making him a three-time Olympian. Peterson won four World Cup races in aerials and was on the podium in nine others during the 2006 season. His finest season was 2005 when he won three World Cups and finished third three times. He won the 2005 World Cup season title in aerials with the strength of these six great finishes. He ended the 2006 season in the sixth position.
