Jeremy Staat Ed.S. Biography

Jeremy Staat is a product of the 1996 Arizona State University Football team that went undefeated and were Pac-10 Champions that played for a National Championship against Ohio State in the 1997 Rose Bowl. Jeremy was also a member of the 1997 team that played in the Sun Bowl in El Paso Texas where Jeremy was named the Most Valuable Defensive Player of the Game. Jeremy spent 4 years serving his country in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry machine gunner (0331) and deployed to Haditha Iraq in 2007. After being honorably discharged from his Marine Corps service in 2009 Jeremy returned home to his hometown of Bakersfield CA and married his wife Janelle and the two have two young boys together. In 2012 through his foundation the Jeremy Staat Foundation he organized a national campaign to bring awareness to the epidemic of Veteran suicide by riding a bicycle 3468 miles across the United States that started in Bakersfield California at the Wall of Valor in Bakersfield and ending in Washing D.C. at the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
