Jeff Twiggs Biography

Jeffrey Charles Twiggs is the Senior Pastor of Freedom Movement Church, where he is called to minister to God's people via passionate preaching and teaching, intensive worship, and discipleship. Jeff has been given a multi-cultural and multi-generational ministry vision that is based on God's unconditional love, the truth of His Word, and the power of His Spirit. God has been preparing Jeff for this life-calling for many years of training. Jeff was born on October 22, 1973, in Washington, DC. He got his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from North Carolina A&T State University. After years of irresponsible behavior, the Lord intervened and eternally transformed his heart. Jeff was prompted by the Holy Spirit to rededicate his life to Jesus Christ on November 8, 1998, and he joined the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC. Metropolitan Baptist Church. On January 28, 2003, Jeff publicly accepted his call to the ministry of preaching and gave his first sermon. Jeff has a passion for teaching, worship, evangelism, and discipleship in order to help others develop in their relationship with God. From 2005 to 2009, Jeff was the pastor of New Samaritan Baptist Church, and from 2010 to 2012, he was the pastor of Jubilee Christian Church. Jeff was privileged to be able to assist kids to discover who they are in Christ via the teaching of God's Word and fostering a love for real worship as a Youth Pastor and Minister of Music. Jeff also works as the Director of “The Landing” at Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA, a rehabilitation ministry for students and families coping with previous injuries, habits, and hang-ups. The Lord wants to totally repair people and turn their suffering into something useful. While working with his wife Teraza, he serves as the Lead Teacher, Music Director of the Praise Team, and leader of the young adult men's small group. After completing Fellowship Bible Church's Church Planting Residency Program under the guidance and direction of Dr. Crawford Loritts, Jeff has been commissioned to build Freedom Movement Church. Jeff is presently working on his Master of Divinity degree while on this job. Heaven, Jeffrey II, and Kristen, his three amazing children, were born to him and his lovely wife Terraza. Jeff prays that the Lord would be exalted in his life in the future.
