Jay Adelson Biography

Jay Steven Adelson is the chairman of Revision3 and former CEO of Digg. Prior to joining Digg he was the founder and chief technology officer of Equinix Inc. which he founded in 1998 and was one of the founders of the PAIX in 1996 before its purchase by Switch and Data in 2003. In 1993 he ran network operations at Netcom (USA) before leaving for Digital Equipment Corporation to become Operations Manager of the PAIX. He was named one of TIME magazine's TIME 100 Time in 2008. Adelson announced his departure from Digg on April 5 2010 stating: the entrepreneurial calling is strong and I am ready to incubate some new business ideas over the next twelve months. Adelson a Michigan native graduated from the Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills Michigan and holds degrees in Computer Science and Film and Broadcasting from Boston University having graduated in 1992.
