James Balog has been on the forefront of capturing some of the biggest environmental stories on the planet for three decades. A decorated photographer avid mountaineer and climate change researcher Balog is the founder of the Extreme Ice Survey (EIS) the most wide-ranging photographic study of glaciers ever conducted.
Balog's work has been also extensively published in The New Yorker Life American Photo Vanity Fair Sierra Audubon and Outside and has been exhibited in more than 100 museums and galleries. In 2012 he founded Earth Vision Trust a non-profit dedicated to educating the public through innovative visual media about our changing environment.
