Hunter Tura Biography

Hunter is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bruce Mau Design where he is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic direction creative excellence and global business development.
He is passionate about building truly great teams helping develop strategies and driving growth for clients and brands. Over the course of the past two decades he has worked with business cultural and design leaders from organizations such as Samsung GE Unilever Sonos Harvard University the University of Pennsylvania and the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing on a range of design initiatives. Currently he is overseeing large-scale brand design efforts for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC and the new Design Society in Shenzhen China in partnership with the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Prior to joining BMD Tura was Managing Director at 2x4 Inc. responsible for leading operational and strategic business efforts in the U.S. and China and previously was a designer at Rockwell Group in New York and has worked in the office of AMO/Rem Koolhaas.
He serves as an External Advisor and Guest Lecturer at Designskolen Kolding where he organized the first BRAND x (Place) Conference in May 2015. Additionally he has served on the design faculty of the University of California - Berkeley Columbia University and California College of the Arts and has been a lecturer and guest critic at Universities and conferences worldwide.
