The book The 7 Laws of Innovative, co-authored by historian and journalist Rik Plantinga MA, contains invention methodologies and a road map to innovation (Hoving&Plantinga, 2006). Herman's lectures and seminars are participatory, allegorical, inspirational, and backed by audiovisuals, according to the adagium "practice what you preach." They have a more conversational flavor than a debating flavor. He held seminars and workshops in Spain, Denmark, the former Yugoslav republic of Slovenia, and Russia.
