Harsha Bhogle Biography

IIM-A alum and former Rediffusion ad man Harsha Bhogle has been called the voice of Indian cricket -- he's India's premier cricket commentator and columnist. Beloved for his insightful patter he writes a weekly cricket column for Indian Express and interviews top cricketers on ESPNStar's Harsha UnPlugged. He's been the front man for ESPNStar cricket telecasts from the day they launched in India. Now he has taken to the corporate lecture circuit with his wife and business partner Anita applying the wisdom of the game to help companies develop compelling business strategies.
Harsha was born on July 19 1961 in Dyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. His father A.D. Bhogle is a French Professor and his mother Shalini Bhogle is a psychology professor. He currently resides in Mumbai with his wife Anita and their two children.
He completed his schooling at Hyderabad Public School and continued his degree in chemical engineering at Osmania University in Hyderabad. He then did his post graduation PGPM at the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad.
He started his career with an advertising company and after working for two years he shifted to a sports management company. He joined All India Radio as a commentator when he was just 19 years old and was invited to work as a commentator during the 1992 Cricket World Cup by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
