Grady Jarrett Biography

Grady Jarrett is an American football defensive tackle for the National Football League's Atlanta Falcons (NFL). Jarrett went to Rockdale County High School in Conyers, Georgia, and was twice named All-State. Over the previous two years, he recorded 198 tackles, 63 tackles for loss, and 27.5 sacks as a four-year starter on both sides of the ball. As a senior, he earned a three-time All-Region pick on defense and a second-team All-Region selection on offense, as well as the team's top defensive player three times after accumulating 101 tackles (31.5 for loss) and nine sacks. He also appeared in the North-South All-Star game in Georgia and the Florida Maxx Scout All-Star Bowl, totaling 17 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles. Rivals.com ranked Jarrett as a three-star recruit. Scout.com ranked him as the 41st best defensive lineman in the country. He is committed to play collegiate football at Clemson University. Jarrett attended Clemson University from 2011 until 2014. He played in nine games as a true freshman, recording two tackles. Jarrett started 11 of 13 games as a sophomore. He racked up 49 tackles and two sacks. In 13 games as a junior starter, he recorded 83 tackles and two sacks. During his senior season, he started all 13 games again, collecting 73 tackles and 1.5 sacks, and was awarded first team All-ACC in honor of his outstanding performance. Grady Jarrett was named to the 2020 Pro Bowl, and the Pro Football Writers of America chose him to their All-NFC Team.
