Glenn Jones Biography

In 1980, Norman Connors assisted Glenn Jones in making the transition by featuring him on a song from his LP Take It to the Limit. Jones later toured with Connors and performed on Mr. C.'s album. In 1983, he signed with RCA and released a mini-album, I Am Somebody, which charted as a Top 30 R&B single. The following album, Finesse, was produced by Leon Sylvers and yielded Jones his first true success, the number three R&B single Show Me. The theme song for the 1984 television series Finder of Lost Loves was Jones' duet with Dionne Warwick. He also performed Talk Me Into It, which appeared in the film Youngblood. Jones left RCA for Jive in 1987 and had another major success with We've Only Just Begun (The Romance Is Not Over), which peaked at number two on the R&B charts that year. He recorded for Jive until 1992, when he signed with Atlantic and released Here I Go Again; Here I Am followed two years later, and It's Time in 1998. All Music Guide's Ron Wynn
