Fernando Valenzuela Biography

Fernando Valenzuela is an experienced and recognized senior executive, entrepreneur, consultant, speaker and board level leader with international background, multi-industry experience and multi-cultural capabilities.

He has founded and led successful enterprises in Latin America for over 25 years by decisively activating digital transformations in several industries taking advantage of the possibilities new technologies provide, re-envisioning business models, customer experiences and operational processes while capitalizing on strategic assets through innovative methods.

He holds a Degree in Computer Science from the Universidad Iberoamericana, and an MBA in International Business by the University of Miami.

Active member of Wharton Fellows, ENOVA Network of Latin America CEOs, Center for Hemispheric Policy and Council of the Americas, and board member at Inroads. He has participated in executive development Programs at MIT, Kellogg, Stanford, CIDE, Dom Cabral (Brasil) and EAE (Argentina)

Fernando has been CEO for Latin America at Relacom, Peppers and Rogers, Teletech, Centrobe, Sitel and Senior Executive at Hewlett Packard and EDS.

Frequent international keynote speaker in topics such as innovation, digital transformation and education in the knowledge economy.

Founder of the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, the Center of Excellence in Corporate Governance, the Institute for Enterprise Development, the Business Incubation Center and LINNEA Laboratory for Innovation in Learning Experiences.

Fernando has been a teacher for over 18 years at several international graduate and post-graduate institutions. He has lived Miami, Sao Paulo, Medellin y Mexico and is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese. He played professional soccer for 4 years and is a certified professional soccer coach.

He is currently President at Cengage Learning / National Geographic Learning Latin America and founder of LINNEA the First Laboratory for Innovation in Learning Experiences in Latin America, from where he is leading the transformation of the educational models and creating high value learning experiences by engaging students with technology.
