Erika Ebbel Angle graduated from Boston University School of Medicine with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2012. Her study centered on the application of cutting-edge technology to find biomarkers in Huntington's disease. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a minor in music.
She worked on studies in virology, analytical chemistry, and molecular biology at MIT. She placed third in the 2000 MIT Biology Undergraduate Research Symposium and was one of the youngest poster speakers at the 48th American Society for Mass Spectrometry Conference in Long Beach, California in June 2000.
