Dr. Gail Saltz Biography

Dr. Gail Saltz is a psychoanalyst at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute and a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill-Cornell Medical College. She is a columnist, bestselling author, podcast host, and television commentator, as well as one of the country's foremost go-to experts on a variety of psychological and mental health issues, particularly stress and anxiety, emotional well-being, relationships, and mental health aspects of current events. Dr. Saltz has appeared on a variety of shows, including Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, The View, Dateline, 20/20, CNN, CBS This Morning, MSNBC, and The Oprah Winfrey Show. She is the Chair of the 92nd Street Y's 7 Days of Genius Advisory Committee and a mental health and parenting contributor for US News & World Report. She received a B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Lehigh University during her undergraduate years. She maintains a private practice in Manhattan and resides in New York City with her family.
