Derek Bok is Harvard University's 300th-anniversary university research professor and emeritus president. Bok is now the chair of the Spencer Foundation, which supports educational research. He has also served as the dean of Harvard Law School and as a law professor. From 1971 to 1991, he was the president of Harvard University, then from 2006 to 2007, he was the temporary president.
