Dennis William Cox, BSc FCSI FCA, is the CEO of Risk Reward Limited, a capital raising, risk management, internal audit, recruitment, and consulting firm with offices in the City of London and Miami that serves banks, insurance companies, regulators, and alternative financial institutions in developed and emerging markets around the world. Roles of Leadership As Director, Risk Managerial at HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited and Director, Risk Management at Prudential Portfolio Managers, he has held top management roles in the banking and accounting professions. He formerly worked as a Senior Audit Manager (Compliance) at HSBC Holdings PLC and a Senior Manager (Banking and Finance) at both BDO Binder Hamlyn and Arthur Young in the banking and auditing industries. Enterprise risk management, risk-based internal audit, forensic accounting, money laundering deterrence, treasury, credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, and market risk are among his areas of competence. He is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, as well as the co-founder and former Chairman of the Risk Forum. He was a National Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) for 18 years. He graduated from London University with a BSc Honours degree in Mathematics. Dennis has extensive banking, financial, and regulatory implementation expertise in the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He also consults with national banking trade groups and internal auditors on a regular basis. He is a frequent contributor to the UK's financial consultant sector institutes and serves on important Board and risk committees. He's also an expert in international norms, like the Bank for International Settlements' and the Financial Actions Task Force's standards. Model risks, the ICAAP, the ORSA, the ILAA, stress testing, scenario modeling, and living wills are all areas of competence. Publications. Dennis has chaired and lectured at international conferences and is the author of several books, including Banking and Finance: Accounts, Audit and Practice, The Mathematics of Banking and Finance, Frontiers of Risk Management, An Introduction to Money Laundering Deterrence, and The International Handbook of Money Laundering Deterrence, which will be published by Wiley Finance in September.
