Dean Michael Ornish is an American physician, and president and founder of the nonprofit Preventive Medicine Research Institute located in Sausalito, California. He also works at the University of California, San Francisco where he serves as a Clinical Professor of Medicine. Dr. Dean Ornish wants you to live longer, and have more fun while you're at it.
He has quickly become one of the leading advocates in the medical community who promotes a balanced, holistic approach to health, and proving that it works. The research he and his team conducted at the Preventive Medicine Research Institute clinically demonstrated that prostate cancer as well as many cardiovascular can be treated and even reversed through a combination of diet and exercise. These findings have been widely chronicled in the US media, including Newsweek, for which Ornish writes a column.
