Dawn Neufeld Biography

Dawn Neufeld is a complex lady who cares deeply about her family and children. Dawn was born and raised in California and was first bitten by the acting bug at an early age. She landed parts in numerous television series and plays thanks to her early training with the Al Fann Theatrical Ensemble and Kevin McDermott's Center Stage L.A. Dawn took a hiatus from acting throughout junior high and high school to focus on academics and athletics, but her passion for it never faded. Dawn combined her academic interests with modeling and performing during her undergraduate years. She pursued her passion for media and journalism at UCLA, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a Women's Studies minor. She went on to obtain a law degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in both California and Texas (2002). (2009). Dawn worked for a year as an attorney at the Los Angeles firm Ivie, McNeill & Wyatt before relocating to Buffalo, New York, where her husband Ryan was a member of the NFL's Buffalo Bills. Dawn rekindled her passion for performing while in Buffalo when she joined the Frank Rossi Studio and began taking acting classes. Dawn dived herself into the local television seas while re-establishing her law profession when the Neufeld's returned to Frisco, Texas in 2008. She just left Graham, Bright & Smith, where she had worked for four years, to start a solo practice. Dawn has found her "happy zone" in front of the camera. Dawn is the host of The Broadcast, a morning entertainment and conversation program that airs in many Texas areas. She was a cast member on VH1's Football Wives (2010). Dawn was also recently selected to anchor Take Charge Parenting, a weekly half-hour parenting show hosted by Sue Hubbard, the "Kid's Doctor." She formerly co-hosted The Bite, a weekly cutting-edge entertainment show shown at high-volume restaurant chains across the country, and hosted D210 TV, a show covering the latest in Dallas entertainment and sports. Dawn was also featured on The Food Network in a series of Smart Tips. She has been on CNN Headline News and Jane Velez-Concerns Mitchell's with Jane Velez-Mitchell to discuss a variety of current subjects and legal issues. Dawn has been on the covers of Thrive magazine and Blitz Weekly, among others. She was featured on the cover of the DFW.com "Hot Issue" of the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram in 2013. She also emcees charity and community events on a regular basis. Dawn is the current Mrs. Frisco and just competed in her sixth Mrs. Texas America pageant. She likes competing in the pageant because it allows her to raise awareness about autism. Will, her three-year-old son, was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Dawn spends her free time with her husband, Will, and their two children, Bryn, and Will, as well as volunteering for her favorite organizations, Autism Speaks, Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation, and the Layla Grace Foundation. Dawn is also a member of the Junior League of Dallas and serves on the board of the Dallas Theater Center. She is an active member of Off the Field, the national football spouses organization, and a past board member.
