Darcy Gaechter is an American adventure kayaker, author, and motivational speaker, best known for being the first and only woman to kayak the entire Amazon River from source to sea, a 4,300-mile, 148-day journey she completed in 2013. Hailing from Aspen, Colorado, she grew up immersed in outdoor activities, initially dreaming of becoming a ski patroller like her father. She has been recognized as one of the world’s top female kayakers, winning races globally and leading expeditions in 18 countries.
