Danny Trejo is an American actor and producer born in Los Angeles, California, on May 16, 1944. He has a prolific career spanning six decades and over 400 credits in film and television. His distinct gruff look and tattoos have made him a casting favorite for hardened characters. He has appeared in films such as “Heat,” “Desperado,” and the “From Dusk Till Dawn” series, among others. On the television side, he has had recurring roles in “Sons of Anarchy,” “King of the Hill,” and “Breaking Bad.”

Trejo’s upbringing was tumultuous. As a youth, he spent time in and out of prison for drug-related offenses and armed robbery. After finding sobriety in the late 1960s, Trejo found himself on a film set, where he was hired as a boxing trainer for the day. From that day, he took a liking to the film industry. He uses his experiences to advocate as an intervention counselor.
