His childhood in a strange tiny manufacturing town, as well as his extended family's backward oddities, suited themselves to his stand-up performance, which has aired on HBO, Showtime, and Comedy Central, among other networks. He later relocated to San Francisco in order to pursue a comedic career. In 1986, he and fellow comedian Alex Reid created the San Francisco Comedy Condo in San Francisco. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
