Dan Bane claims to have the finest job in the country. He joined Trader Joe's in 2001 as president of Trader Joe's West and was promoted to CEO later that year. He has worked at several accounting businesses in southern California during his career, focusing his expertise on the retail industry and legal firms. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Southern California. Dan Bane visits each of the Trader Joe's shops three to four times a year to bag goods, meet customers, and chat with them about what they enjoy and don't like that day in Trader Joe's.
