Dale Dunbar is a former professional ice hockey defenseman from the United States who briefly played in the National Hockey League in the 1980s. Dunbar, who was never drafted, had a successful collegiate career at Boston University, where he played with future NHL standout John Cullen. In 1985, he signed as a free agent with the Vancouver Canucks after finishing his university career. During the 1985–86 season, he spent two years in Vancouver's farm system, appearing in one NHL game for the Canucks.
