Dahlia Belle is an American comedian and writer based in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Orlando, Florida, she spent part of her youth in the Midwest and performed as a musician for over a decade before transitioning to stand-up comedy. Belle moved to Portland in 2003 and helps produce the Portland Queer Comedy Festival.
She has written for publications like Cosmopolitan and Portland Mercury. In 2021, she gained attention for an open letter in The Guardian criticizing Dave Chappelle’s Netflix special “The Closer “ for transphobic content, joining other comedians in the critique.
