Craig Vodnik Biography

Craig Vodnik is a co-founder of cleverbridge a proven leader in ecommerce technology services and expertise for global software and cloud companies that serve consumers and businesses. Prior to cleverbridge Vodnik held the position of project manager North America for one of Europe's leading ecommerce providers. At the beginning of his career in 1995 he served as the Webmaster of the Chicago Tribune where he was instrumental in launching the newspaper onto the Internet. Vodnik has over 18 years’ experience in the financial services advertising and ecommerce industries as well as with experience with several Internet startups. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.
Vodnik was recently named to the 2015 Techweek100 and a finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 in the Midwest and 2014 ITA CityLIGHTS Awards CEO of the Year. The latter two awards programs recognize entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in areas such as innovation financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Founded in 2005 cleverbridge has been profitable since 2007 and has grown from the four founders to more than 280 employees between offices in Cologne (Germany) Chicago San Francisco and Tokyo today. Outside of cleverbridge Vodnik has continued to help develop other entrepreneurs as a mentor at 1871 and Catapult Chicago and is a member of Hyde Park Angels.
