About Claudia Lee
Claudia Lee Biography
Claudia Lee Mirkowski was born in Lafayette, Indiana, to a Polish immigrant father and an American mother. Her parents enrolled her in dance courses when she was three years old, and she learned ballet, jazz, and tap-dancing for ten years. It's a talent that would eventually come in handy in a Zeke and Luther episode in which her character participates in a high school play. Michael Rooney, son of actor Mickey Rooney, coordinated the dance in the episode. Lee, who had always been interested in music, began taking piano lessons when she was ten years old. She went to Vermont's School of Creative and Performing Arts (SOCAPA) summer camp when she was 13 years old. Her roommate introduced her to Harry Abrams, president of the famous Harry Abrams Agency, when she was there. Lee and her mother relocated to Los Angeles in January 2010 when the agency offered to represent her for film and television acting, while her father stayed in Indiana to supervise a business he owned. Lee scored a job in a national TV ad for Comcast alongside actor Zachary Levi during her first few weeks in Hollywood (Chuck, Less Than Perfect). She was subsequently cast as Elizaveta, a young Russian villain traveling with a poor circus family, in the short film The Circus Girl. Following Circus Girl, Lee was cast as a recurring character in Season 3 of the hit sitcom Zeke and Luther, which follows a gang of adolescent skateboarding buddies. Bridget, a doughnut shop waitress and Luther's love interest, was her role in that show (Adam Hicks). She now has a recurring role as Magnolia, Lemon Breeland's (Jaime King) younger sister, on Hart of Dixie, a drama series that airs on the CW Television Network. Lee was cast in the character of Brooke in the Universal Pictures film Kick-Ass 2, which is based on the second volume of the Kick-Ass comic book series by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. in August 2012. The film is set to be released in June 2013. Lee will also appear in the upcoming FOX show Surviving Jack, which is based on Justin Halpern's book I Suck at Girls. The program is set in the 1990s and chronicles the relationship of a teen boy and his distant father. Concurrent with her acting endeavors, Lee began working with music producer Max DiCarlo in 2010, who had previously collaborated with famous Italian record producer Giorgio Moroder and produced for Elton John, Donna Summer, RBD, and other prominent musicians. Lee launched her debut song and music video, It Gets Better, in November of that year, inspired by the It Gets Better Project, a national program focused at preventing bullying towards children. Here Right Now, Lee's debut album, was released in February 2012. The album's first single, "Hollywood Sunset," was released in September 2011. In May 2012, the album's second single, the country-rap song 3 Leaf Clover, was released.
