On January 10, 2015, in an expo held at Lexington Christian Academy, Davis was delegated Miss Horse Capital of the World 2015. With that title, she entered the Miss Kentucky expo in July 2015 as one of 31 qualifiers for the state title. Contending at the Singletary Center for the Arts on the University of Kentucky grounds, Davis sang "Midyear" from the drama Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin in the ability segment of the program. Her public assistance stage is expanding public attention to dyslexia, a learning handicap that Davis has attempted to defeat since youth.
