Chris Kimball Biography

Cook's Magazine, a national magazine for culinary amateurs, was created by Christopher Kimball in 1980, and he remained as publisher and editorial director until 1989. Mr. Kimball created the Who's Who of Cooking in America in 1984 to recognize the best chefs, restaurateurs, vintners, food writers, and producers in the United States. Mr. Kimball revived Cook's Magazine as Cook's Illustrated in 1993, and he just created Cook's Country. Mr. Kimball is the editor and publisher of both publications. Mr. Kimball is the presenter of America's Test Kitchen, a public tv cooking competition in its 14th season, as well as the host and producer of Cook's Country from America's Test Kitchen, which premiered in September 2008. Mr. Kimball is a frequent contributor to The CBS Early Show and has been published in The New Yorker, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, People magazine, the New York Times Book Review, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times, among other publications. In 1996, he was included in the Who's Who of American Food & Beverage.
