Carlye Adler is an award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author and collaborator.
She is the founder and chief ghost of the Casper Media Group, which creates content for well-known leaders on business, technology, philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, and politics. She collaborated on three New York Times best-sellers: The Promise of a Pencil by Adam Braun, Rebooting Work with Maynard Webb and The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz. She is also the co-author of the national best-seller Behind the Cloud and The Business of Changing the World with Marc Benioff. She co-authored with Mikkel Svane Startupland, named one of the best books of the month by Amazon and co-wrote The Dragonfly Effect with Jennifer Aaker and Andy Smith. Her books have been translated into Chinese, German, Greek, Hebrew, Korean, Indonesian, Japanese, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
As a journalist, her writing has been published in BusinessWeek, Fast Company, Fortune, Forbes, Newsweek/The Daily Beast, Time and Wired and has been anthologized in The Best Business Stories of the Year. After taking a semester off from Brown University, Adler fell in love with reporting as an intern at the New York City Resident, a weekly newspaper, where she covered everything from the 10th Police Precinct in Chelsea to the Ms. Senior USA competition. She stayed in the city, sold a story about college dropouts turned entrepreneurs to BusinessWeek, and graduated magna cum laude from New York University.
