About Bryan White
Bryan White Biography
Bryan White readily fit into the post-Garth Brooks atmosphere of the mid-'90s with his huge voice, easygoing demeanor, and simplified mainstream country-pop image. Bryan White, his debut album, launched a series of number-one singles that lasted until 1996. White moved to Nashville after graduating from high school, when he met Billy Joe Walker, Jr., a family acquaintance who happened to be a session guitarist in the Music City. Walker assisted White in honing his performance and landing a position as a demo vocalist during the next two years. Producer Kyle Lehning, who had previously worked with Randy Travis and Dan Seals, eventually started working with Walker and White. Bryan White's debut album was produced by the three, and the vocalist was signed to Asylum Records. In 1994, he released his self-titled debut. Eugene You Genius and Look At Me Know, the album's first two singles didn't receive much notice, with the latter peaking at No. 24. However, Someone Else's Star debuted at No. 1 in the spring of 1995, followed by Rebecca Lynn in the fall. Between Now and Forever, his second album was released in the spring of 1996 and featured the No. 1 song I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore. In the fall of 1996, So Much for Pretending became his fourth consecutive No. 1 hit. He also received the Country Music Association's Horizon Award for 1996, as well as the award for Best New Touring Artist, in the autumn. In 1997, White released The Right Place, and two years later, he returned with How Lucky I Am. In 1999, he released his debut holiday album, Dreaming of Christmas. In late 2000, Warner Bros. issued a Greatest Songs CD, which included his four number-one successes and a handful of Top 20 hits. Dustbowl Dreams, a new album, was published in 2009. The Little Things, a new song from White's album, has been released. White launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new record in 2012, which he intends to make without the assistance of a record label. White raised a total of $34,889 dollars. Another Day In The Sun, Born To Be Somebody, Feels Like Home, What I Already Know, Catch My Breath, Finding Me, and So Much For Pretending were among the songs on the album.
