Finally wanting to take matters into their own hands, they wrote Jewtopia, racked their credit cards with debt, and mounted the production themselves. Jewtopia went on to become the longest running original theatrical comedy in Los Angeles history. The show moved to off-Broadway in New York City in September, 2004 and recouped its investment in record time. Jewtopia still plays nightly to sold out audiences after over three years, and productions are now opening all over the world.
