Born on October 31, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, Brian Doyle-Murray is an actor best known for his stint on Saturday Night Live and roles in several films where he acted alongside his brother Bill Murray, such as Caddyshack, Scrooged, Ghostbusters II and Groundhog Day. The son of a mail room clerk and a lumber salesman, he started as a performer for The Second City comedic stage troupe in the early 1970s.
In 1979, Doyle-Murray landed a spot on NBCâs Saturday Night Live, and he also wrote for Jean Doumanianâs sixth season from 1980 to 1981. He was a regular performer on The National Lampoon Radio Hour, syndicated nationally to some 600 stations throughout 1973 to 1975. He appeared as Chevy Chaseâs uptight boss in National Lampoonâs Christmas Vacation and later as an arcade business owner in the 1992 film Wayneâs World. His other screen credits include JFK, Snow Dogs and 17 Again.
