Brian Bjelde Biography

SpaceX's vice president of Human Resources is Brian Bjelde. He is in charge of supporting 6,000+ workers and supervising Recruitment, Employee Relations, Training and Development, Compensation & Benefits, Diversity & Inclusion, Physical Security, and Environmental, Health & Safety. After serving as an associate engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Bjelde joined SpaceX in 2003. Bjelde has held a number of positions at SpaceX since entering the company, including Avionics Engineer, Mission Manager, Product Director for the Falcon 1 Launch Vehicle, and Senior Director of Product and Mission Management. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master's degree in Astronautical Engineering.
