Bjorn Vang Jensen joined Electrolux in 2004 as Vice President of Electrolux Major Appliances Supply Chain in Asia/Pacific. He is now the head of Global Logistics for the Electrolux Group, where he is responsible for an annual logistics cost of more than $1 billion, as well as the yearly shipping of over 160,000 TEU. For the whole Electrolux Group, Bjorn and his team are entirely responsible for the procurement and management of ocean freight, air freight, courier services, and other logistics services. Bjorn also oversees the group in charge of purchasing road and rail freight as well as warehousing services. Bjorn has resided in Asia for the last 28 years, having worked in Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. He graduated from the A.P. Mller/Maersk Shipping School in 1988. Bjorn has worked with Maersk Line, Thyssen Haniel Logistics, Exel, and TNT Logistics in managerial roles in the vessel and terminal operations, warehouse management, sales, key account management, and logistics network design, in addition to his responsibilities at Electrolux.
