One thing Trump truly excelled at was knowing his audience

Whether he was speaking to business moguls, voters, or even the media, he had an uncanny ability to understand what would resonate with people. He could adapt his message to speak directly to their interests and concerns. This ability to connect was essential in both his business and political careers. On top of that, his leadership style stood out. Trump leads by being bold and aggressive—always on the offense. His approach is one of decisiveness and assertiveness, he never backed down from a challenge, and his commitment to standing by his promises, regardless of external pressure, was unwavering.

A defining characteristic of Trump is his tenacity, the ability to weather the storm

Literally, when we were flying to Ecuador on business, I recall a specific moment when we hit major turbulence, the other passengers and I were tightly gripping our armrests and visible sweat was pouring down our foreheads while President Trump sat back calmly reading the newspaper. “You have to whether the storm,” Trump calmly commented. The several moments  were tense, but Trump, ever the optimist, pushed through, reminding us that tough times are temporary and that success often lies on the other side of adversity. This tenacity, combined with his willingness to embrace the new—whether it's in politics, media, or technology—kept him constantly relevant.

He never shied away from new opportunities

Always staying ahead of the curve by embracing the changing landscape of media, including podcasts and social media, to stay connected with the public. It was clear that he never stopped thinking big, always aiming higher, which taught me to not only dream big but act boldly to make my dreams a reality.

Talk is cheap

Say what you’re going to do, and do what you say. It’s amazing the loyalty and respect that results. Rancic attributes living life according to this philosophy as one of the reasons for being hired in the first season of “The Apprentice.”  I didn’t talk a big game, and I wasn’t running my mouth. I just kept my head down, worked hard, and was able to quantify my work. Donald Trump has an amazing team around him, he says. In order to command respect and hard work from individuals, you have to be ready to work hard and be respectful.

Trump continually strives for progress and improvement. He emphasizes the significance of never quitting, and characterizes Trump as his role model in this self-imposed adage. Twenty years ago, people wouldn’t take Trump’s call. He was a billion dollars in debt; he was in serious trouble, and he hung on. He kept fighting and fighting, and now he’s at the highest point he’s ever been in his life. There’s a lot of truth to hanging on and going at it even when you don’t think there’s a way out.
