Benson James Boone was born on June 25, 2002 in Monroe Washington. The young singer-songwriter has become a worldwide sensation since his emergence in the music scene only a few years ago. He started gaining popularity by posting emotional singing videos on TikTok which led to him acquiring more than 1.7 million followers.

Boone auditioned for American Idol Season 19 in early 2021 but judges including Katy Perry predicted his victory in the competition before he chose to leave the competition at Top 24 to follow his own musical journey. Boone's independent nature and musical abilities made him stand out to Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds who signed him to Night Street Records in partnership with Warner Records during October 2021.

Fireworks & Rollerblades marked his debut album release in April 2024 which achieved worldwide success by reaching number one in Norway and reaching top five in New Zealand. The American Heart World Tour began in August 2025 when Boone started his arena tour after releasing his second album American Heart in June 2025. The artist received Grammy nominations while winning the VMA for Best Alternative Song with "Beautiful Things".
