Internationally recognized as the "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist" in 2012, as well as an award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician. Ben Portsmouth and his band, Taking Care of Elvis, began paying tribute to the King of Rock & Roll in 2005. Ben rapidly rose to prominence among European Elvis tribute artists. He won the Porthwath, Wales European Championship in 2006, the world's largest Elvis tribute competition. He was the contest's youngest participant. Ben made his debut visit to the United States in 2010, winning the Images of the King Contest in Memphis, Tennessee. In the same year, he won the Pocono Mountains Elvis Festival, qualifying him to compete in Graceland's Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, the most prestigious event for an Elvis tribute artist. Ben came to Collingwood, Ontario, in 2012 to compete in the Collingwood Elvis Festival. With his triumph, he qualified for the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest for the second time. Despite strong competition from a worldwide pool of Elvis Tribute Artists, Ben gave it his all and was named Graceland's Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist in August 2012, solidifying his spot among the world's best tribute artists. Ben's fan base in Europe has expanded since his triumph in Memphis. He has performed for Harley Davidson at a number of events, including the Golfe de St. Tropez for 15,000 motorcyclists, European Bike Week in Austria for 100,000 people, and Harley Days in Barcelona, Spain, which drew 1.2 million people. He's also performed at the Silver Stone Classic Race Meeting (the country's most famous classic race meeting), for Manchester United Football Club, and at a private event in Dubai, Saudi Arabia. Ben came to South America in the autumn of 2012 and dazzled thousands of fans during the King is Back tour, which included stops in Cascais, Port Alegre, and Sousas, Campaianas. Ben's visa was issued in early 2013 for engagements around North America.
