Becky Kamowitz Biography

A chance college internship sent Becky down a rewarding career path in nonprofit communications with a focus on health education. At SCF she is responsible for developing and executing marketing communications campaigns that empower people to take a proactive approach to daily sun protection and the early detection and treatment of skin cancer. She most previously worked on the marketing team at DKMS an international bone marrow donor center where she was focused on donor education and retention programming. Becky grew up in Hartford Connecticut and studied public relations and political science at Hofstra University. She lives in Brooklyn New York with her husband Josh and their cats Cliff and Norm. Becky applies four different sunscreen products every morning. One of her most recent personal/professional achievements was successfully nagging her husband into making an appointment for his annual skin check where he had three moles removed – thankfully all benign.
