A native of Athens, Greece, Huffington moved to the United Kingdom at 16 to study economics at Cambridge. She became the first foreign and third female president of the Cambridge Union. Before her media career, she was involved in politics and married Michael Huffington, a former U.S. Representative, from 1986 to 1997.
