He was a lonely child who suffered from Dyslexia. His parents sent him to West Monmouth boarding school in Pontypool. He then progressed to Cowbridge Grammar School. In 1965, he was spotted by Laurence Oliver, who invited him to join the national theatre. By 1987, he had become the Commander of the British Empire.
Now he helps many philanthropic groups of people. On April 12, 2000 Anthony Hopkins became a natural citizen of the U.S. Since then, he has remained successful in the acting industry. His most renowned work is the role of Hannibal Lectar in the movie, "Hannibal" In 2006, he won the Golden Globe award.
