Anna Kooiman Biography

Anna Kooiman works for Fox News Channel (FNC) in New York City as a general assignment news correspondent. Kooiman joined the network in 2011 and is a regular contributor to Fox News Channel's FOX & Friends. She was previously a co-host of Fox News Channel's morning show, Fox & Friends First. The show, which airs weekdays at 5 a.m. ET is an hour-long extension of FOX & Friends and is hosted by a pair of alternating hosts. Before joining FNC, Kooiman was the anchor of Fox News Rising, four-hour morning news and entertainment show on WCCB-TV (FOX) in Charlotte, North Carolina. She reported on local news, entertainment, weather, and traffic for WCCB-TV. Kooiman formerly worked as a morning news anchor at WNWO-TV (NBC) in Toledo, Ohio. Over a hundred fugitives were apprehended as a result of her investigative reporting. In 2005, Kooiman began her career in television as an intern at WWAY-TV (ABC) in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she subsequently rose through the ranks to become a reporter and anchor. Throughout college, she worked as a sideline reporter for the University of North Carolina-Wilmington basketball team. She holds an honors degree in communications studies from UNC-Wilmington and has won two North Carolina Associated Press Awards for Best Investigative Piece and Best Series.
