Gutierrez was involved in a sting operation with the New York Police Department to prove that famed film director Harvey Weinstein was sexually assaulting her. She met Weinstein in 2015, when she made an appearance at a reception at Radio City Music Hall. Weinstein approached Gutierrez and said she looked like Mila Kunis. Weinstein set up a meeting through Gutierrez’s modeling agency, and she was informed it would be about business, at Weinstein’s Tribeca offices. During the meeting, he allegedly groped her breasts and put his hand up her skirt, while she pleaded for him to stop.
After Weinstein groped her, she filed a complaint to the Special Victims Division and set up a sting operation that involved her wearing a wire. She seemingly got a confession from him in her conversation with him, where he says: “Oh, please, I’m sorry, just come on. I’m used to that. Come on. Please.” “You’re used to that?” asked Gutierrez. “Yes. Come in … I won’t do it again, come on, sit here. Sit here for a minute, please? I will never do another thing to you. Five minutes. Don’t ruin your friendship with me for five minutes.”
