Alison has a very calm, questioning style that is direct, challenging and yet supportive. She brings a clear focus to individual development. Alison builds on the strengths of the individuals and organisations she works with.

In addition to her work as a coach, Alison designs and facilitates manager as coach programmes for clients and facilitates postgraduate coaching programmes that focus on developing professional coach practitioners and master coaches.

Alongside her work as a psychologist and coach, Alison has been at the forefront of the development of the coaching psychology profession in the UK. She was recognised by colleagues and peers for her contribution to the profession, receiving the Achievement award for distinguished contribution to coaching psychology in 2009. Speaking as the opening keynote at the National Symposium in Coaching Psychology in Sydney, Australia in August 2008, she has also spoken as a keynote at professional conferences to the HR and Psychology community in the UK. Alison served as a Chair of the Coaching Psychology group within the British Psychological Society between 2007 – 2009. She works as a member of the editorial team for a number of coaching and coaching psychology publications and published a “Handbook in Coaching Psychology: A guide for practitioners” through Routledge which she co-edited with Stephen Palmer. She is a regular contributor to academic and practitioner publications.

Alison holds a degree and PhD in Psychology from Liverpool University, is accredited as a chartered occupational psychologist through the British Psychological Society and is registered with the Health Professions Council. Alison has also completed a programme in managed change, holds a foundation in counseling from Regents College, London, and has participated in numerous short courses to support her professional development.
